Jennifer Westfeldt and Jon Hamm have separated after 18 years. The pair launched a declaration to publics to declare their break up.
“With great sadness, we have decided to separate, after 18 years of love and shared history,” Hamm and Westfeldt said. “We will continue to be supportive of each other in every way possible moving forward.”
Earlier this year, after Hamm completed a 30-day stint in rehab for alcohol abuse, the couple denied rumors that their relationship was ending. “The story that appeared in this week’s edition of In Touch magazine is not true,” a representative for the couple told PEOPLE at the time, after In Touch reported that Hamm and Westfeldt had split. “The only gentleman Jennifer visited regularly in Connecticut was Jon, while he was in rehab. They continue to ask for the public’s understanding and sensitivity during this challenging time.”
Hamm shot playing with Don Draper on Angry Males, but one of his true early movie functions was reverse Westfeldt in 2000’s Getting Jessica Stein, that the 45-year old actress co-published. Hamm, 44 seemed in 2006’s Ira & Abby and Buddies with Children with Westfeldt , debut.
“There’s another person who’s actually sitting in the audience who basically told me when I wasn’t working that I was still talented, “Hamm said of Westfeldt at the PEOPLE Magazine Awards last year. “And she’s stuck with me for the last 16 years, even if the talent question remains up for grabs.”
